Journalists from "Papotin" at the Cannes Film Festival for the first time: "It's a dream"

In the dressing room, Louis Vuitton dust bags hang on a rack. Outside, the sound of a helicopter occasionally mingles with the cries of seagulls. This Saturday, May 17, for the first time, the "Rencontres du Papotin" team has changed scenery: they've left the Arab World Institute to relocate to the port of Cannes, in the middle of the Festival. The eighteen journalists with autism spectrum disorders are preparing to record the show, which will be broadcast this Friday at 8:35 p.m. on France 2.
"When all the journalists in the world come to Cannes, it's natural that the Papotins, who are very interested in culture, come too," explain Jérôme Lament and Clément Chovin, two of the producers. On the set with a parquet floor decorated with large red squares, the "Papotins" take their places. Exceptionally, they receive two guests: the actor Raphaël Quenard, awarded the César for Best Male Revelation in 2024 , then Élodie Bouchez , revealed thirty years ago by "Le Péril jeune" and "Les Roseaux sauvages". The day before, they had already interviewed the actress Diane Kruger.
